About me
How's it hanging? I’m so happy you are here! My name is Kaley Larkin and I am ready to give you back your confidence! I want you to have your Beyonce moment leaving my chair.
I have always had a passion for hair… I used to set up “spa” downstairs with stations of Tupperware for my family. If I wanted to get real fancy, I used the red Rubbermaid containers for the relaxing experience.
Fast forward 10 years and I am now a licensed cosmetologist through Aveda and growing at Escape Hair Studio. When I am not at the salon you will find me at the gym or outside. I love to work out and my goal is to complete a triathlon. After a hard workout, I will be cuddling my 2 goldendoodle children while watching the Bachelor or The Office. I have an amazing family and fiancé who are the reasons I am here.
My goal is to get through this crazy thing called life together and build a relationship with you; while making you feel beautiful. Beauty starts from within and then we enhance the natural beauty on the outside. I will provide a relaxed, comfortable, but fun experience. Of course, I will throw in some laughs along the way, but it’s a safe space to talk about anything. I will listen to you from your hair to your family and everything in between. I can’t wait to meet you and bring out your beauty from the inside out.
Explanation of My Condition
I want you to be as open with me as possible, and I am going to be open with you as well. I want to make sure I am completely transparent with you to start building that trust.
I have a nerve condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), which usually affects one extremity. In my case, it has affected my whole body from my legs to my tongue. I was diagnosed when I was 12 years old by just stubbing my toe. The pain is rated at the highest pain level, such as getting an amputation without medication. Another description is pouring gasoline all over your body and setting it on fire. It feels like stabbing, chainsaws, and not even a piece of hair can even touch me. It affects me usually by not being able to walk, touch, eat, or move to be completely honest. I had been seeking relief for many years and finally found Calmar Therapy Treatments in Bonita Springs, Florida.
These treatments put me in remission where I am completely pain free. Unfortunately, I come out of remission about every 6 months and have to use my machine I now have at home. I used to have to go to Florida. But, God has blessed me with having it accessible to me at my house now. I am gone usually from 2-3 weeks. I will try my best when scheduling at the 6 month mark to inform you. Unfortunately, it is not always predictable and comes on very quickly. In this case, I can pair you with one of my fellow amazing hairstylists where they can take care of you. If you are comfortable waiting, I will make sure you are first priority when I return. Thank you for understanding, and if you have any questions please reach out to me. We will get through this together!
Thank you,
Kaley Larkin
